Teen drivers have accidents at higher rates, which means they cost more to insure. Simply Drive is an online driving safety course designed for young drivers. Once your teen driver successfully completes it, you could be eligible for up to a 10% discount on their car insurance.
Their discount will apply until the first renewal after the driver turns 21, unless they have an applicable moving violation or at-fault accident.
How to qualify for Simply Drive
To qualify, your teen must be:
- A licensed driver aged 16-17
- Single (not married)
- Free from applicable moving violations or at-fault accidents
How to get the Simply Drive discount
Here's how to qualify for the Simply Drive discount:
- Have the teen driver complete the Simply Drive course online
- Print and complete the participation agreement at the end of the course.
- Make an appointment for your teen and you (or their legal guardian) to meet with a rep to provide the participation agreement
