Jenny Thayer

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Jenny Thayer has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for COUNTRY Financial since July 2025. Prior to serving in her role at COUNTRY, Thayer was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Horace Mann Educators Corporation as well as the Vice President, Executive Compensation & Benefits.

Thayer began her career with COUNTRY Financial in June 1998, holding various positions including Personal Lines Underwriter, Senior Accountant, Supervisor of Financial Analysis, Manager of Corporate Retirement Plans and Manager of Compensation & Regional Human Resources. She was named Director, Total Rewards & HR Shared Services in January 2015 where she served in this role until October 2017.

She was a member of the IAA Credit Union Board of Directors from 2009 to 2017. She is a graduate of the COUNTRY Leadership Development Program, and she is a certified Six-Sigma Green Belt.

Thayer earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois. She also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois.
