WHAT: COUNTRY is saying thank you to local farmers for their hard work by providing free meals for farmers at local Feed a Farmer events in many of the states where the company serves farm clients (Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington). Some representatives will partner with their local county farm bureau, FFA or other local ag organization to provide meals and an opportunity for farmers to connect with one another at a public location, and others will deliver meals to the farmers in the field. WHEN: Feed a Farmer events will take place between September 20 and October 12, which is National Farmer’s Day.
WHY: “Farmers work hard all year, especially now as they are harvesting their crops. We want to add a bright spot to their day and thank them for everything they do,” said Lindsey Rinkenberger, Director, Agribusiness and Commercial Underwriting at COUNTRY.
